  1. How would you apologize for the Duck comics? Carl Barks is one of the best comic creators of all time. His Duck comics were perfect examples for how to write a comic story. All star stuff!

  2. Another outstanding Comics Time Capsule Video . The way you describe the Comics from the 50's in such vivid detail ..it's almost as if you were there to buy them off the Newsstands. When you got to the end of the list and I noticed you hadn't mentioned Superman #76 or anything EC , I started to fire up the ol' Bitch- O – Matic , but then I remembered who was doing the video and I realized there will be at LEAST a part two , if not more . Already looking forward to them .

  3. Riverdale ruined Archie Comics. I'm so tired of everything needing to be mature and "realistic" all the damn time. There's nothing wrong with comics being fun: that's why I'm trying to get ahold of Marvel's Star Comics, older Archie stuff, and maybe Tom & Jerry too.

  4. Carl Barks was a master at his craft. Peak comics right there. His creation of Scrooge McDuck alone makes him an all star. Never apologize for liking his works, it’s people who don’t get it that should:

  5. One minor point about Supergirl. Kryptonian females bore their father's full name as their surname, so she wasn't just "Kara" but "Kara Zor-El".

  6. …it had to be cross-dressing Jimmy Olsen ruining everything again!
Did you ever take a look at the 1955 Black Knight? It's great art by Joe Maneely (Marvel's most prolific artist during the Atlas days) channeling Hal Foster's Prince Valiant. A few years ago, Marvel put out a Masterwork reprinting both all 5 issues of Black Knight and the 4 issues of Yellow Claw (Feldstein/Maneely in issue #1, Jack Kirby writing and art in the other three).
